What does Contra do with my data?
Contra only collects data that is needed to enable website functionality. Contra does not sell your data.
What fees does Contra charge for payments?
Here’s how fees for hiring clients breaks down:
Clients are charged a Stripe processing fee for each payment to a contractor.
After working with your contractor, there's a fee of $29 per contract for one-time services or $29 per month per contractor for ongoing projects.
Note that contractors keep 100% of what they earn on Contra. Unlike other marketplaces, we’re a commission-free platform. (It’s how we attract the best talent.)
How are my payments secured?
Stripe, our payment provider, has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, Stripe uses best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security as per Stripe’s terms.
